Mission work is an extension of God's love for the world through the church to a particular people. Follow the example of Christ to GO! If you are considering missionary work, you can support missions by contribution or actively working on the mission field.

Having a "heart for missions" is listening to what God has called you to do, both locally and globally.

Breakout Ministries is a missions-minded church. Why?

A church without missions is a church without a mission. A church that doesn't care about missions is actually a mission field. Jesus said for us to go into the entire world. He said to go the ends of the Earth and we believe that Jesus means just what He has commanded.

That is our mandate and we will not carry out our marching orders unless we are informed, inspired and motivated. So let's explore some of the opportunities available...

Breakout is part of City Gate New Holland. We meet there on the first Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. until noon. We have coffee, water and we sit and chat with people as they come in. Some may ask for prayer, others may want to  come in, rest and just need to talk or listen without saying a word.

Being a part of the community is who we are.

At CVCCS there are opportunities in the food bank, clothing bank and helping with the after school program. You could help with homework, be a "listening ear" to a child and assist with event throughout the year.

Homes of Hope is a transitional housing means for someone who is homeless, "down on their luck". Homes of Hope offers the opportunity to "walk alongside" families, and single moms and dads. By becoming a mentor or a budget coach and meeting a day a week for an hour, you can help change a life and be changed yourself.

Water Street Mission is all about restoring lives by bringing God's Good News of healing and restoration. Volunteers can help serve in the dining hall: Breakfast 6 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.; Lunch from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and dinner from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. During the winter months volunteers can  assist with the day shelter. You can sign up at the mission and volunteers must be at least 13 years of age.

Esther's Heart Ministry was started by Beth and Oscar Alegria. The staff of Esther's Heart Ministries works tirelessly, helping children and their families. This is a child sponsor program that Breakout Ministries supports. A team from Breakout travels to San Salvador each year in early December to help with the children's Christmas banquets. Breakout Ministries ordained Beth Alegria as a pastor in December 2022. Esther's Heart Ministry helps children in poverty, providing the basic needs of food, clothing and medical and dental care when available. Terry Stern can provide much more detail on this missions program.

BREAKOUT SCHOOL OF MINISTRY began in May of 2016 in Entebbe, Uganda and with the January 2017 session and has now grown to encompass four locations: two campuses in Kampala, one in Katchumbala, one in Rwentobo and a newly created school in Kabwohe with 100 leaders of house cell groups.

In addition to Spiritual Boot Camp for Overcovers topics, other curricula include, church leadership skills, the gifts of the Holy Spirit, family dynamics and other life and teachings skills.

In 2023, the husband-wife team from Breakout Ministries in the USA , Senior Pastors Ron and Mary Buch, graduated 198 students from the four ministry centers. Contact Rin and Mary Buch directly for opportunities on this mission field.
